Graham Walsh, Jun 9, 2026
Neat is proud to announce that Neat Center is officially certified for Microsoft Teams, and our devices now support Android 13.
Neat continues to raise the bar for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android.
This latest milestone reinforces Neat’s commitment to delivering secure, high-performance, and future-ready collaboration experiences for Teams customers worldwide.
Android 13 support: what it means for customers
Microsoft certifies Teams Rooms on Android devices to ensure the highest standards in audio, video, security, and Teams app compatibility. Certification is not a formality—it’s a rigorous validation process designed to guarantee performance, reliability, and seamless interoperability with the Teams platform.
By upgrading to Android 13, the following Neat devices remain supported for Microsoft Teams Rooms through August 15, 2028, with Microsoft support extended through August 15, 2030:
Why this matters
Extended lifecycle
Android 13 extends device support to 2030—protecting your investment and reducing the risk of premature OS obsolescence.
Enhanced security
Android 13 strengthens encryption, privacy controls, and enterprise-grade access protections—essential for compliance-driven environments.
Performance improvements
Optimizations include faster response times and reduced CPU usage in system services, delivering smoother, more responsive Teams experiences.
Reliable Teams updates
Certified devices maintain access to the latest versions of the Teams Rooms app via automatic updates—ensuring stability without sacrificing innovation.

Neat Center is now Certified for Microsoft Teams
And there’s more.
Neat Center—our unique center-of-room companion device—is now officially certified for Microsoft Teams.
Neat Center represents a new category of meeting room technology. Featuring a 360° camera, a 16-microphone array, and advanced AI-driven framing, it captures everyone in the room—regardless of where they’re seated. It can sit elegantly on the table or be suspended from the ceiling to eliminate clutter and blend seamlessly into the room environment.
It was built for a simple but powerful purpose:
To bring remote participants into the heart of the conversation.
Built for the reality of hybrid work
Hybrid work is no longer a temporary solution—it’s the default model for many organizations. While nothing replaces being physically present, collaboration technology must close the gap as much as possible.
Neat Center does exactly that.
By positioning intelligent audio and video in the center of the room, it ensures remote participants feel like they’re seated at the table—not observing from the sidelines.
When we launched Neat Center at the end of 2023, it set a new benchmark. Through continuous software updates, it’s evolved into a world-class experience—and continues to improve.
What’s better—and why it matters
Smarter audio with Neat Audio technology
A machine-learning-driven approach that adapts dynamically to real conversations, going beyond traditional signal processing.
Automatic microphone switching
Audio intelligently follows the speaker, whether they’re near the front-of-room device or closer to Neat Center—ensuring natural conversational flow.
Advanced voice isolation
Deep noise suppression filters out background distractions, while dereverberation reduces echo for clearer speech.
High-performance echo cancellation
Eliminates echo without clipping voices—even during lively, overlapping discussion.
Spotlight what matters with Neat Focus
When you need to emphasize key voices, Neat Focus delivers.
By defining custom camera zones across Neat Center and the primary front-of-the-room device, Neat Focus automatically highlights designated speakers—creating a more cinematic and engaging meeting experience across single or dual displays.
The Neat Center camera is a welcome addition to our portfolio of devices certified for Microsoft Teams. The Neat Center center-of-the-room camera helps create a more natural and engaging meeting experience by bringing remote participants closer to the conversation, while delivering the quality, reliability, and innovation customers expect.
