Global technology consultancy standardizes meeting experiences worldwide
For a company built on collaboration, consistency matters.
As a leading global technology consultancy, Thoughtworks helps organizations solve complex business challenges through strategy, design, engineering, and AI. With thousands of employees working across offices around the world, creating seamless experiences that connect people—regardless of location—is a critical part of how the company operates.
As Thoughtworks continued to evolve its workplace strategy, the company set out to simplify meeting room technology while ensuring employees could move effortlessly between offices and collaborate with colleagues anywhere in the world. To achieve that vision, Thoughtworks partnered with ProAV to deploy Neat devices across its workplace portfolio, creating a consistent meeting experience regardless of room size or location.
Building consistency across a global workplace
For organizations with a global footprint, workplace technology can quickly become fragmented. Different offices often deploy different room systems, creating inconsistent experiences that frustrate employees and increase support requirements.
Thoughtworks wanted a different approach.
“The thing that we have prioritized is the right level of consistency for things,” says Ben Caunt, Global Head of Workplace Operations & Experience at Thoughtworks.
That philosophy has shaped the company’s workplace technology strategy worldwide.
For all our new build-outs, we default to all-in-one Neat technology for our meeting rooms.

By standardizing on a single platform, Thoughtworks has created a familiar experience for employees regardless of where they work. Whether joining a meeting in London, New York, Sydney, or another global office, teams encounter the same intuitive technology and room experience.
For a business whose people regularly collaborate across regions and time zones, that consistency helps remove friction from everyday work.
Simplicity that scales
As a company known for helping clients navigate complex technology challenges, Thoughtworks was drawn to a solution that delivers powerful capabilities through a simple user experience.
“Thoughtworks were quite keen to keep a consistent approach, not just within each country, but across the globe in each of their offices for when people travel between different offices,” says Rodney McMahon, Territory Account Manager at Neat.
Neat’s vision aligns really well with Thoughtworks’ vision. At heart, we’re both technology and software companies, and I think both of us differentiate our brands in the market through our software.

That alignment extends beyond technology. Both organizations share a belief that intelligent solutions should feel simple and natural for the people using them.
“To Neat, what that means is both simplicity and intelligent,” says McMahon. “And whilst keeping it simple, we still need to have really intelligent and smart outcomes.”
For Thoughtworks, the benefits became apparent as employees increasingly interacted with the technology.
“People have become a lot more familiar with those devices,” says Caunt. “We’ve had a lot smoother experience in terms of issues, because there’s only one thing to have. You don’t have multiple connections and multiple pieces going on.”
By reducing the number of devices, cables, and connection points in meeting rooms, Thoughtworks has simplified both the employee experience and room support requirements.
One experience, every room
Working alongside deployment partner ProAV, Thoughtworks implemented a range of Neat devices across its office environments, including Neat Bar and Neat Board systems for spaces ranging from small huddle rooms to larger meeting environments.
Neat Bar’s all-in-one design combines camera, microphones, speakers, and built-in processing into a single device. The simplified setup reduces room complexity while delivering high-quality audio and video experiences for both in-room and remote participants.
At the same time, Neat Board provides an integrated collaboration experience that combines video conferencing, wireless content sharing, and interactive whiteboarding in a single device. Teams can move naturally between meetings, presentations, brainstorming sessions, and workshops without needing additional equipment or complicated room configurations.
The result is a workplace ecosystem that feels consistent regardless of room type.
“Thoughtworks deployed a range of Neat Bars and Boards across their office space,” says McMahon. “This spans from small huddle spaces right through to large meeting rooms, and it provides a consistent experience across all their different types of spaces.”
That consistency gives employees confidence when using meeting room technology.
“Every single one of our products operates in the same way and has exactly the same end user experience,” says McMahon.
It’s very familiar, it’s very intuitive and easy to use, and most importantly, it gives confidence to the end users, no matter where they come from in the business, to actually walk into a meeting room and use the technology.

Whether employees are joining a quick stand-up, leading a client presentation, or collaborating across continents, the technology remains familiar and easy to use.
Creating more inclusive hybrid meetings
As hybrid work continues to shape the modern workplace, creating equitable meeting experiences for remote participants has become increasingly important.
Thoughtworks has incorporated Neat Center into a number of larger meeting spaces to ensure everyone can participate more effectively, regardless of where they’re located.
We started with the Neat Center cameras, for example, and we’ve used them in a number of spaces now to do those larger spaces.

Placed at the center of a meeting table, Neat Center works alongside front-of-room devices to provide additional perspectives of participants in the room. The device helps remote attendees see, hear, and engage more naturally with colleagues, making larger meetings feel more inclusive and collaborative.
For globally distributed teams, that capability plays an important role in maintaining strong connections between employees working across different offices and time zones.
Technology that reflects the company
For Thoughtworks, standardizing on Neat has delivered more than a technology refresh. It has created a scalable workplace standard that supports employees around the world with a familiar, intuitive, and reliable meeting experience.
By partnering with ProAV to deploy Neat across its offices, Thoughtworks has established a workplace technology platform that aligns with its culture, simplifies operations, and enables teams to collaborate with confidence wherever work happens.
The result is a workplace experience that reflects the company’s own approach to technology: intelligent, thoughtfully designed, and focused on people.
As Thoughtworks continues to invest in its global workplace strategy, Neat provides a consistent foundation that helps teams focus less on technology and more on what matters most—working together to solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients around the world.
